{BIG GIRL ROOM} Teal and Pink Big Girl Room

As much as I wanted to keep her in her nursery and especially her crib...indefinitely, baby sister's upcoming arrival sped up the transition. Fiona chose teal as her wall color and when we found the bedspread the rest of the color palette fell into place. The carpet was replaced with a white pine laminate and the pink fluffy rug gave the room just enough girly pink. The wall unit is a great way to display little one's toys and toys that once went unnoticed in the toy bin became new again. I found the wooden headboard on craigslist and hubby painted it white, it cost $40 which was great compared to the hundred dollar beds made of cheap veener. The Lilo & Stitch drawing and Nemo painting were made for me by a super talented artist while I worked at Disney, it's more than 10 years later and they are a great reminder of the wonderful people I met while working for the mouse (and look great on her walls).

Now can I go back to that first week, when she kept it clean? ;)

  2. You have a very beautiful children's room and I would like to know how often and with what means do you usually clean the house? We used to clean ourselves, but when we got a lot of carpets and furniture, it became very difficult to do it, and our neighbors advised us to read forever clean reviews because they have been using their cleaning services for a long time. Do you think it's worth it?
