I made a smoothie! A green one! I've heard about these 'green smoothies' and swore that if blended kale or spinach it would taste like liquified veggies. I was oh-so deliciously wrong...my first green smoothie consisted of 1 green apple, 1 banana, 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple, 3 bunches of kale, some water and a couple of ice cubes and it tasted nothing like kale. I shared it with my 15 month old and it's officially baby approved by the repeated "mmmmmm" between sips. We've both had a green smoothie everyday since and she makes a bee line for the kitchen when I ask if she wants a smoothie.
We've expanded our smoothie recipe to include spinach, kiwi & blueberries and it makes this green goodness even better.
