I was a skeptic myself and initially didn't buy the nosefrida and it wasn't until my baby got a cold that I realized I needed it. 

The bulb syringe and the electric nasal aspirators are sufficient for a boogie here and there but when there is congestion & mucous involved the bulb syringe doesn't stand a chance against the nosefrida...Even the electric nasal aspirator is put to shame by the nosefrida.
